So I'm 14 years old, Asian, and have hair that's a little thicker than stereotypical Asian hair, with a slight wave (not a whole lot, though) instead of stick-straight. Because of that, it's also not as sleek. i found a picture at an antique store and what to no what year it was taken. It isn't exactly black and white, its more brownish, it might just be faded. there is a woman in a very plain black dress holding a baby and a young girl who looks 6 or 7 wearing a plain white dress that goes to her knees she also has white socks going up to her knees. there is also a young boy who looks 4 or 5 wearing a white outfit and the same kind of socks as the girl. they are in the country is what it looks like. I've been watching some 1920s-era movies, and it got me thinking about how modern our time is compared to back then. Stuff like those old cars that look more like carriages, wooden streetcars running down the road, men in fedoras and people listening to Armstrong on a gramophone. But then I realized, 1920s people thought their time was the most modern (which it was at the time). So then I thought, I wonder what kinds of things from this time will seem old-fashioned when people watch 2000s-era movies in 80 years? I was wondering if anyone around Yahoo Answers uses pomade products, such as Murray's, Royal Crown, Dax, or hair cream like Brylcreem, even hair tonic like Vitalis? These products generally provide a somewhat "wet," shiny look, reminiscent of the classic hairstyles between the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, through to the 1960s. Think of the Hollywood actors and musicians of this era. Would you say that it's a nice look? Personally it's a style I favor. I use Brylcreem and Dax Wave and Groom, then I part my hair, having a little "wave" in the front most days. It's a very 1950s style the way I have it.
